Support in emergencies
Help in a specific emergency, based on the actual need and what is possible locally.
PAO24 connects helpful and reliable people so that suitable support can be found more quickly in difficult situations.
PAO24 is expanding its emergency support network. Until now, the focus has been on Wiang Pa Pao and the surrounding area. Our goal is to connect reliable volunteers in more regions of Thailand.
After an accident, an urgent problem while travelling, or another difficult situation, finding suitable local support can be important. PAO24 aims to help connect people and arrange support responsibly.
Our focus is emergency help, practical support in urgent situations, and connecting people with suitable assistance.
Help in a specific emergency, based on the actual need and what is possible locally.
Connecting people who need help with suitable contacts or volunteers when appropriate and possible.
Building a network that reaches beyond the current region and takes local resources into account.
PAO24 is not a shopping service or a general everyday assistance service. Its focus is emergency help, urgent situations, and connecting people with suitable support.
You do not have to live in Wiang Pa Pao or the surrounding area. Anyone aged 18 or over can apply from anywhere in Thailand and take the PAO24 admission test.
It is important to distinguish between applying and local coverage: Applications are open nationwide, but the volunteer network is still being developed. We therefore cannot guarantee that volunteers are already available in every region.
After the test is completed successfully, we review the applicant’s details and eligibility. Membership begins only after this review and explicit confirmation of acceptance.
We aim to build an emergency support network across Thailand step by step. We distinguish between nationwide applications and the regions where support can already be offered.
Wiang Pa Pao and the surrounding area in Chiang Rai Province remain our current focus area.
The more suitable volunteers apply, are reviewed, and are genuinely available to help, the more regions we may be able to cover in the future.
We are preparing a map that will eventually show regions with registered and verified PAO24 volunteers.
The map will go live once enough volunteers from different regions have been reviewed and are ready to offer support within their capabilities.
You can already apply from anywhere in Thailand. Each suitable application helps us expand the network. Until the map is published, we cannot guarantee volunteers in every region.
We want to build a reliable network. That is why clear admission requirements apply.
A permanent address in Thailand is not an absolute requirement. What matters is that you can state which region you can actually help in and when you are available.
Applications to PAO24 are already open. Interested people can apply and take the PAO24 admission test.
Provide the required information about yourself, your language skills, and the area where you may be able to help.
Complete the PAO24 admission test as part of the application process.
Your information and eligibility will be reviewed. Membership is granted only after a successful review and explicit confirmation.
Admission is completed only after your information has been reviewed and acceptance has been explicitly confirmed.
Good preparation can help volunteers act responsibly in difficult situations.
Where possible, PAO24 aims to support suitable training and further education so volunteers can develop their skills.
Whether PAO24 can cover training costs in full or in part depends on suitability, available courses, and funding. Coverage of costs is not guaranteed.
Emergency support requires responsibility. Volunteers should take on only tasks they are suited and sufficiently qualified to perform. Everyone’s safety and the protection of personal data are top priorities.
In an immediate emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services. PAO24 is a network for support and connecting people with help; it is not a substitute for medical professionals or official emergency services.
Would you like to help ensure that people are not left alone in difficult situations? Apply and take the PAO24 admission test. Together, we are building a reliable emergency support network across Thailand.
